The map names about thirty places in Hampshire, including the Isle of Wight, and two outside the county boundary.

Roads shown are:
1. Blackwater to Salisbury in Wiltshire via Basingstoke and Stockbridge.
2. Basingstoke to Salisbury in Wiltshire via Whitchurch and Andover.
3. Farnham in Surrey via Alton, Alresford, Winchester, and Rumsey to Ringwood. This road continues to the Dorsetshire border where to Pool is engraved.
4. A road from the boundary with Surrey goes to Portsmouth via Petersfield.
5. A road crosses the Isle of Wight from the north coast to Blockhouse near the south coast via Newport.

The Stour, Avon, Test, Itchin, and Anborn rivers are named.

Second state

The imprint is unchanged.

About eighty-five place names have been added including the names of several coastal features. Havant has been erased and re-engraved to the east of its previous position. The word Downs has been erased and replaced by Porchester marking the town previously labelled Havant. These changes are shown below (first state on the left).

Roads added are:
1. Kingsclear to Petersfield via Basingstoke and Alton.
2. Stockbridge to Cosham via Winchester, Waltham, Farham and Porchester.
3. Yarmouth to St. Hellens via Newport.
4. Yarmouth to St. Hellens via Blockhouse.

The dotted line Wiltshire/Berkshire boundary has been extended and a Berkshire/Surrey boundary has been added.
