The map names about forty places in Kent and six, including London, outside the county boundary.

Roads shown are:
1. Deptford to Dover via Dartford, Gravesend, Rochester and Canterbury.
2. Deptford to Hyth via Wrotham, Malling, Lenham and Ashford.
3. Deptford to Rye in Sussex via Bromley, Sevenoke and Tunbridge.
4. Canterbury to Sandwich.

Many rivers are shown on the map but none are named.

Second state

The imprint is unchanged.

About seventy-five place names have been added to the map in addition to various coastal features including several sandbanks.

Roads added:
1. W. Wickham via Down, Halsted and Ightam to join the Deptford-Hyth road near Malling.
2. Hawkhurst to Maidstone via Cranbrook, Staplehurst and Linton.
3. Cranbrook to Romney via Appledore.
4. Cranbrook to Ashford via High Halden.
5. Kingsdown to Chatham via Trotcliff, Birling and Ailesfont.

The Medway, Stour and Thames rivers have now been named.
