The map names sixteen places in Leicestershire and six outside the county boundary.

Roads shown are:
1. From Derby across the Leicestershire border via Kegworth, Loughborough, Montsorrel, Leicester and Great Glen to Harborough.
2. From Nottinghamshire via Melton Mowbray and Estorp and on towards Okeham in Rutlandshire.

The Erwash, Trent, Sour, Wreke, Soar, Sence, Swift, Avon, and Welland rivers are named.

Second state

The imprint is unchanged.

About forty place names have been added to the map.

Roads added:
1. Leicester to Coventry in Warwickshire via Narborow and Sharnford.
2. From Orton on ye Mount via Ashby de la Zouch and across the county boundary into Derbyshire.

A dotted line Warwickshire/Northamptonshire boundary has been added and the Lincolnshire/Rutlandshire and Rutlandshire/Northamptonshire boundaries have been strengthened.

STAFFORD S has been engraved in a small area outside the county boundary to the west of Orton on ye Mount.
