First state

The map names fifteen places in Middlesex and four outside the county boundary.
Roads shown are:
1. London (Westminster) to Stains via Brentford and Hounslow.
2. Hounslow to the Buckinghamshire border at Coln br..
3. A branch from the London-Stains road near Hounslow into Surrey at Chertsey.
4. London (Kensington) to Uxbridge via Acton.
5. London to Watford in Hertfordshire via Edgworth.
6. London to Barnet via Highgate.
7. London to the Hertfordshire boundary north-east of Enfield.
8. Acton via Harrow on ye Hill to join the London-Watford road at the Hertfordshire/Middlesex boundary.
9. From east London across the Lea river into Essex.
The Brent, New, Lea and Coln rivers are named. The Thames is shown without a name.
Second state
The imprint is unchanged.
About eighty place names have been added. Hamsted and the hill on which it stands have been erased (rather inefficiently in the case of the hill) and re-engraved further north. Hamsted now appears as Hamstead. The change is shown below (first state on the left).
Hampton Court has been changed to Hampton Town & Court. The change is shown below (first state on the left).
Roads added are:
1. A short east-west road just to the north of London with a branch to E. Barnet on the Hertfordshire border via Southgate Street.
2. London via Pancras, Holloway, and Hendon to join the London-Watford road near Edgworth.
3. A branch from the previous road near Hendon to Barnet.
4. London to Holloway.
5. Paddington via Harlston Green to join the Acton-Harrow on ye Hill road.
6. Uxbridge to Stanmore via Ickenham, Ryslip, Waxwell and Harrow Weald.
7. Uxbridge via Harefield to the boundary with Hertfordshire.
8. Teddington to Harrow on ye Hill via Twickenham, Isleworth and Greenford. A short branch from this road goes to Norcoat via Osterly.
9. A branch from the Hounslow-Coln br. road to join the previous road between Norcoat and Osterly.
10. A branch leaving the Hounslow-Stains road just to the west of Hounslow to go to Stains via E. Bedfont.
The "River of Thames" is now named.
Third state
