The map names thirteen places in Northamptonshire and nine outside the county boundary.

Roads shown are:
1. From Stamford in Lincolnshire across the northeast of the county and into Huntingdonshire.
2. Rockingham to N. Wellingborough via Kettering and on to the county boundary with Bedfordshire.
3. Harborough in Leicestershire to Stony Stratford in Buckinghamshire via Northampton.
4. From the boundary with Warwickshire via Daventry and Towcester to Stony Stratford in Buckinghamshire.
5. From Banbury in Oxfordshire across the southwest of the county and on to Buckingham.

The Nene, Avon and Welland rivers are named.

Second state

The imprint is unchanged.

About fifty-five place names have been added to the map.

Roads added:
1. Peterboro to Markett Deeping in Lincolnshire.
2. Peterboro to Stamford in Lincolnshire.
3. From the boundary with Rutlandshire via Benefield to Thrapston.
4. N. Wellingborough to Rugby in Warwickshire via Ecton, Northampton, Brington, Watford and Rislsby.

The dotted line Cambridgeshire/Huntingdonshire, Huntingdonshire/Bedfordshire, Lincolnshire/Rutlandshire and Rutlandshire/Leicestershire boundaries have been extended.

In the left-hand information panel:
Market Sat: in the entry for Higham Ferrers has been erased.
Tues. has been added after Kings Cliff.
Thursd. has been erased in the Rockingham entry.
Welden Market Wednesday. has been added between the entries for Rowell and Thrapston
