The map names about thirty places in Suffolk and seven outside the county boundary.

Roads shown are:
1. From Norwich in Norfolk via Dis, across the Suffolk border to Eye and Ipswich and over the Essex border to Colchester. 2. Ipswich to Yarmouth in Norfolk via Woodbridge, Wickham, Saxmundham and Beckles.
3. Newmarket to Sudbury via Bury.
4. Newmarket to Barton Mills and then to the Norfolk border at Thetford and on to Norwich. This road has a short branch to Brandon leaving it between Barton Mills and Thetford.

The Yare, Little Ouse, Wavering and Stour rivers are named.

Second state

The imprint is unchanged.

About seventy-five place names have been added to the map.

One road has been added:
Ipswich via Nedham, Stow and Wulpit to join the Newmarket-Sudbury road near Bury.

The Blith, Deben, Ore and Orwel rivers have been named.
