The map names twenty-five places in Wiltshire and three outside the county boundary.

Roads shown are:
1. From the county boundary with Gloucestershire to Malmsbury and Highworth.
2. From the boundary on the west side of the county through Chippenham, Calne and Marlborough and on to the boundary with Berkshire.
3. From the boundary on the west side of the county through Trowbridge and Devizes to join the Calne-Marlborough road.
4. From the boundary on the west side of the county through Warminster and Ambresbury and on to the boundary with Hampshire.
5. Salisbury to the boundary with Dorsetshire on the west side of the county where to Exeter is engraved beside the road.
6. Salisbury to the boundary with Dorsetshire at the south of Wiltshire.

The Isis, Willy, Nadder and Bourn rivers are named, as are two different rivers both called the Avon.

Second state

The imprint is unchanged.

About eighty-five place names have been added to the map.

Roads added:
1. Crudewell via Long Newton, Norton and Wroxhall to the Somersetshire boundary. The Foss Way is engraved beside the road between Wroxhall and the county boundary.
2. Chippenham to Wroxhall.
3. Cricklade to Badbury H. via Redborn.
4. Highworth to Badbury H.
5. From Badbury H. to Marlborough there is a single line which appears to be a road that was only partly engraved.
6. A road from Tyleshead goes via Westbury to join the road between Trowbridge and Devizes.
7. Marlborough to Ambresbury via Burbiche.
8. A branch from the road between Marlborough and the county boundary with Berkshire runs southwards to join the Marlborough-Ambresbury road near Ambresbury.
9. Salisbury to White Church and across the boundary with Hampshire to Rumsey.

P. OF GLOCESTER S. at the top left of the map has been changed to P. OF GLOCESTER SHIRE and P. OF DORSET S. at the bottom left has been changed to P. OF DORSET S.H. A dotted line has been added to mark the Dorsetshire/Hampshire boundary.
