The map names about sixty places in Yorkshire and three outside the county boundary.

Roads shown are:
1. Bernard Castle in Durham via Richmond, Middleham, Skipton, Keigly, Hallifax, Huthersfield, Barnsley and Rotherham to the border with Derbyshire.
2. Darlington in Durham via N. Allerton, Aldborough, Borough Bridge, Sherborn, Pontefract and Doncaster to the border with Lincolnshire.
3. Scarborough via New Malton to York and on to join the Borough Bridge-Sherborn road.
4. Bridlington via Beverly to Hull.

The Tees, Swale, Gota, Une, Rye, Derwent, Ouse, Ribble, Air and Meroy rivers are named.

Second state

The imprint is unchanged.

Only two place names have been added, both coastal features, Tees Mouth and Robin Hood Bay.

No roads have been added.

The Calder and Dun rivers have been named.

PART OF NOTTING-HAM SHIRE and dotted line Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire and Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire boundaries have been engraved at the bottom centre of the map. PART OF LINCOLN has been erased and re-engraved in a different place to accommodate the addition of Nottinghamshire. A Westmorland/Lancashire boundary has also been added and the Westmorland/Durham and Derbyshire/Cheshire boundaries have been extended.

In the left hand information panel:

The fair dates for Heydon have been changed to July 22. & Sept. 14. (previously July 16. Nov: 25.).

Leeds a Cloth Fair Mark: Tuesd. & Sat. has been added after the Thirsk entry. The second line of the Thirsk entry, sends 2 Members., has been erased and re-engraved higher up to accommodate the addition.
