* Taking its name from the city's Latin name (Aqua Sulis) 'Bath Aqua' is made by adding copper oxide to molten glass. This gives it the aquamarine colour reminiscent of the historic ciy's hot springs. The designs available in this finely crafted lead crystal range, take inspiration from ancient Roman glass vessels. Their delicate colouring and translucent quality reflect the healing properties of the famous Roman spa Baths.

The story of "Hand Made Glass Bath"

Hand Made Glass is an oasis of colour that delights its customers with genuinely beautiful glass and offers friendly service. Themis Mikellides and Annette Martin, partners in Hand Made Glass, work enthusiastically with all forms of glass.
A unique studio/gallery where you can choose off-the-shelf lampshades, decorative hangings, panels and mirrors or work with the glass-makers to create a bespoke stained glass piece. Patterned tiles or sample fabric from your home can provide inspiration for a new project; the artists are happy to work with customers on design.

HMG have a large selection of unusual hand blown glassware. These are exclusive pieces blown by some of the most skilled craftsman in the industry.
Themis, our resident artist, will visit customers properties. Using natural lighting coupled with the period of the house, he forms ideas for your unique stained glass panel. Free designs and quotations are available on request.

Themis is renowned for his commissioned works. These include framed pieces for Lord Bath at his Longleat Estate and which feature the famous Bristol Blue Glass.
Well known in Sweden and Germany for his contemporary work, Themis Mikellides is building the same reputation in Bath. He employs a holistic and scientific approach to his work making the best use of light and colour. He is greatly influenced by his father who is an Architectural psychologist at Oxford University.
