Coaching

For the 2009 cricket season, cricket coaching sessions will be held on our Plaistow Lane ground, as follows -

· for 7 to 11 year olds (school years 2 to 6) every Sunday morning from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

From Sunday 10th May until Sunday 16th August

· for 12 to 13 year olds (school years 7 to 8) every Monday evening from 6.15 p.m. to 8.15 p.m.

From Monday 11th May until Monday 17th August excluding Bank Holiday Monday 25th May

· for 14 to 16 year olds (school years 9 to 11) every Thursday evening from 6.15 p.m. to 8.15 p.m.

From Thursday 14th May until Thursday 20th August

These sessions will cover the techniques of batting and bowling (using the cricket nets), and include fielding practice and practice matches

Equipment, including bats, pads, gloves, helmets, boxes and balls, will be provided for use at the coaching sessions and boys are requested to wear cricket whites at all coaching sessions and matches

The two all-weather practice wickets in the nets area will again be in use during the coaching sessions this season.  As no spikes or studs are allowed on these surfaces, all boys must bring a pair of flat-soled shoes to the training and coaching sessions
