- The new scales purchased for the club by the Kent Casting Club were
shown around. D Allen held onto them and as a match steward would bring
them along to the matches.
- Secretary reported that the he had found out that the clubs computer
had had several component failures and had been thrown away. Members
decided it was not necessary to buy another one.
- The clubs bar-b-que was cancelled this year due to a lack of support.
- The committee members of the Kent Casting Club had been unable to

- N Sharrocks has written to the National Fishing Week organizers to
get some stickers but had no reply yet.
- N Sissons reported on his findings in examining if it was possible
to fish on every third weekend of the month in the year 2001. It looked

- Details of Dover Sea Angling Association events

Kent Casting Club
J Mann gave report on possible future events. Members
reiterated the fact that the KCC committee of J Mann, D Tree, N Sharrocks,
D Allen and S Chesson need to meet as soon as practicable to sort out
the way forward.
Any Other Business
- Secretary was asked to enter the Sea Angler Bass competition
- R Jolly to be asked if he can make a suitable timber trophy for the
winter trophy match against Hope Fishing Club
- Secretary reported that he'd received a phone call from T Clarkson
that evening saying that he was thinking about leaving the club because
of continuing cutting remarks, false accusations and vicious rumours
being spread about him. Discussion took place about this and other events,
and although it was accepted that there can be clashes of personalities
and mutual dislike occasionally within any club or group of people,
this unacceptable type of behaviour should stop before a more serious
situation occurs. The Club will not accept this sort of behaviour which
can, and has, lost the club members. If the situation arises again it
will not be looked upon favourably.
There being no further business the Chairman closed the meeting.
