Monthly Meeting Minutes 13th September 2000

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at the Ivy Leaf Club, Sittingbourne on Wednesday 13th September 2000.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

These were read and confirmed

Matters Arising

  1. Secretary handed out details of Sea Angler Magazine Bass Competition
  2. Secretary and President still to meet to put together a history of the club
  3. Isle of White trip....some interest was shown
  4. Wine and Wisdom evening details still to be relayed by N Sharrocks
  5. R Butler forgot to bring back swear box
  6. Treasurer showed account passbook which showed £438.24 in the account. There was also some cash in hand. Treasurer requested that D Tree should be asked for the receipt for last years trophies brought earlier this year to regularize matters. Treasurer to obtain a new mandate form for the account as the original has been lost by the bank.

October Match

Will be fished at Barton's Point, Minster, Isle of Sheppey on Saturday 7th October fishing from 17.00 - 23.00 hrs.
The pick up point will be at the lay-by on the Sheppey Way just after the Kingsferry Bridge on the Isle of Sheppey and we will leave there at 16.00.

AGM not held yet. Next casting session is on Sunday 1st October from 10.00 till 15.00

Any Other Business

  1. Query was raised about the Pairs Knockout Competition. Secretary reported that the competition results were still being recorded for the original pairs draw at the January meeting. Octobers match would be the last match in the competition.
  2. Discussion took place about holding an Xmas get together as a social event. This would depend upon the date of the proposed Wine and Wisdom evening and support from members.

There being no further business the Chairman closed the meeting.
