Meeting Minutes 24th January 2001
A
meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at
the Ivy Leaf Memorial Club, Sittingbourne on Wednesday 24th January
2001.
Members Attending

Hills, J Padmore, R Butler, S Chesson, D Allen, J Mann, N Sharrocks,
A Price, R Jolly, A Chesson and N Sissons.
Steve Miley and Keith Cofey were welcomed from the Hope Fishing Club.

Minutes
of the Previous Meeting and AGM
These
were distributed and confirmed.
Matters
Arising
- Secretary
and President still to meet to put together a history of the club
-
Receipt for last years trophies had been given to the treasurer
by the secretary
- Treasurer
still to obtain a new mandate form for the Club account as the original
has been lost by the bank.
- Trophies
have been ordered. Senior Most Fish and Junior Most Fish Replica
Trophies to be added to order. R Jolly offered to repair the Junior
Most Fish and C Johnson Knockout Trophies. Members agreed that R
Jolly's fees should be waived for this year for this service to
the club. Members agreed to replace the Winter Trophy and Junior
Angler of the Year Permanent Trophies. Secretary to obtain roundels
for replicas from D Tree.

Matches against Hope Fishing Club. N Sissons handed copy of match
list agreed with Hope which are as follows:- 28.01.01 Sunday Queenborough
Crundels Wharf 13.00 - 17.00. 12.30 meet at wall. This is a lug
only match.
08.04.01 Sunday Folkestone Pier 11.00 - 17.00. 10.30 meet at pier.
22.07.01 Sunday Deal Pier 10.30 - 16.30. 10.00 meet at pier wharf.
13.01.02 Sunday Isle of Sheppey....details to be confirmed
Blue Circle to arrange trophy for next match.
Hope Fishing Club invited members of Blue Circle to attend their
match at Dover Breakwater on Sunday 3rd February. Meet at 7.30 at
the Prince of Wales Pier
- Boat
Trips....J Mann offered to arrange boat matches with 4 against 4
costing £20 per person which includes 2 score of lugworm in
the price.

Treasurer's Report 2000 was presented to the club showing that the
club has £701.44 under its control. The accounts were accepted
as a true record and the Treasurer was thanked for his hard work.

Match
The match will be fished at Walmer on Saturday 17th February fishing
from 16.00 - 22.00
The pick up point will be at the water pump opposite the Dover Castle
pub on the A2 at Teynham at 14.30.

Pair will fish each other Pair twice in the competition which will
begin at the February match.

Nr 1 and minutes of the previous meeting and AGM sent to all members.
- NFSA
Quarterly Journal Nr 21, NFSA Diary, adverts, information on common
fisheries policy, proposed Individual Membership, articles for sale,
NFSA membership renewal forms
- Tidy
Britain Group Letter
These
were distributed and discussed. Members aired their concerns about the
Individual Membership proposals put forward by the NFSA and could see
little benefit in it for the club. Alternative insurance could be obtained
via UKSF if required. Secretary to copy and distribute the NFSA leaflet
about it with newsletter. Orders were taken for NFSA Diaries. Members
agreed to renew membership and insurance with the NFSA this year.
Kent
Casting Club
Next
casting session is on Sunday 4th February from 10.00 till 15.00. J Mann
outlined that D Allen, S Chesson, R East, J Mann, L Sudds and J Sudds
qualified for the KCC to pay for their Blue Circle subscriptions by
attending at least 6 KCC events last year. J Mann encouraged more members
of Blue Circle to attend the KCC events as it is run for their benefit.
Any
Other Business
1.
S Chesson to produce a poster to encourage membership to the club.
2. Presentation evening tickets for the 3rd March will be £3.00
per person aged over 14. Numbers attending the event will be required
at the next club meeting which will be on Wednesday 21st February at
8.00 PM at the Ivy Leaf Club.
