A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at the Ivy Leaf Memorial Club, Sittingbourne on Wednesday 25th July 2001.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

These were distributed and accepted as a true record.

Matters Arising

Secretary and President still to meet to put together a history of the club
Treasurer still to obtain a new mandate form for the Club account as the original has been lost by the bank.
N Sharrocks to bring in remainder of new set of monthly trophies for distribution.
J Mann still to report on details of insurance scheme from Sportscast UK.
Casting club rod is at secretaries house.
Species match - N Sharrocks and J Padmore to discuss and bring points system to next meeting for September match.
Order to be placed for sweatshirts - secretary to copy pictures of garments
Subscriptions were collected - it was highlighted D Tree and S Cuzner had not renewed their subscriptions.
Numbers for Bar B Que were taken. Money is due at the next club meeting on Wednesday 22nd August. The event will be on Sunday afternoon on 26th August at the Ivy Leaf club. Cost £3 per person over 12 years old. Quiz to be set at Bar B Que
Secretary to bring in sealed length envelope competition at the next meeting.

August Match

The match was decided to be fished at Prince of Wales Pier, Dover on Saturday 18th August fishing from 21.00 - 02.00 as the venue had been provisionally booked by Chairman. The pick up point will be at the Water Pump Teynham on the A2 at 19.30. Voting on continuing fishing on every third weekend of the month was discussed. Members voted to fish regular monthly matches on the 2nd weekend of the month

These were shown and discussed. Secretary to write to NFSA that the club would be deciding at the AGM on whether to remain in the NFSA as a result of the proposed Individual membership and would not be responding to letter until then.

1. There is an open casting day at Sutton Valence on 29.7.01 with stalls and casting demonstrations.

2. Discussion took place on entering a club team to open matches. Club to pay for entry into Kent Classic as previously outlined. J Mann to make enquiries about Medway 3's League. N Sharrocks to make enquiries about Medway Flattie League

3. The club Bar-b-que was booked for Sunday 26th August. Hope fishing club members to be invited along. Numbers attending the Bar b que are required by the next meeting on Wednesday 25th July. Money required by August meeting.
