Monthly Meeting Minutes 22nd August 2001

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at the Ivy Leaf Memorial Club, Sittingbourne on Wednesday 22nd August 2001.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

These were distributed and accepted as a true record.

Matters Arising

  1. Secretary and President still to meet to put together a history of the club
  2. Treasurer still to obtain a new mandate form for the Club account as the original has been lost by the bank.
  3. N Sharrocks to bring in remainder of new set of monthly trophies for distribution.
  4. J Mann reported Sportscast UK will be taken over by Sea Angler and insurance details are still to be confirmed.
  5. Species match - points system was discussed and it was decidedto follow the points system used at the match against Unity Tackle except that unclassified fish would get 10 points.
  6. Secretary handed out copy of pictures of garments for sale.
  7. Money for Bar B Que was taken. The event will be on Sunday afternoon on 26th August at the Ivy Leaf club. Cost should of been £3.50 per person over 12 years old rather than £3 recorded in the last minutes but it was decided to stick at £3. Quiz to be set at Bar B Que. D Allen offered to run raffle on night.
  8. Secretary to bring in sealed length envelope competition at the next meeting.
  9. Secretary to still to write to NFSA about request for members names and addresses.
  10. Medway 3 man league and flattie league would not be run until later/next year

September Match

The match was decided to be fished at Dungeness Boats on Sunday 9th September fishing from 10.00 - 16.00 The pick up point will be at the Water Pump Teynham on the A2 at 08.30.

Knockout Competition

D Allen forfeited the round to D Allen. Final to be fished between J Mann and J Allen
