Minutes of meeting on 14.11.01 for Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at the Ivy Leaf Memorial Club, Sittingbourne on Wednesday 14th November 2001.

Secretary and President still to meet to put together a history of the club
Treasurer still to obtain a new mandate form for the Club account as the original has been lost by the bank.
R Butler is the only member not to exchange monthly trophy yet.
Insurance for club to be decided at AGM
Secretary wrote to NFSA informing them that members names and addresses would not be forwarded until renewal of membership to NFSA had been decided at AGM.
Pairs entering the Kent Classic Open on November 18th discussed arrangement for competition. Lug/squid best bait to use at moment for whiting at long range or maddies for flounders close in shore.
N Sissons still to get e-mail address from D Curtis of Hope fishing club for secretary to send newsletters.
Club would still hold meeting at Ivy Leaf Club on 12th December.
Kent Casting Club has in its possesion £197.00 in bank, Primo rod, tent, 2 hose reels, 100 m measure. If the KCC is to stop operating these assets will have to be accounted for.
Secretary still to get copies of membership application forms for the club to J Mann, Ashford Tackle & Unity Tackle to help promote membership.
A club quiz night will be held on Saturday 24.11.01 at the Ivy Leaf Club. £1 per person to enter. £50 first prize. Start at 8pm. M Hammond offered to be quiz master to sort out an eight round quiz with an ongoing round to answer throughout the quiz. Members were requested to bring in a raffle prize. Secretary gave out posters for Ivy Leaf club to put up. Members to start setting up at 7 -7.30.

December Match

The match was decided to be fished at Ramsgate Pier on Saturday 8th December fishing from 16.00 - 22.00. The pick up point will be at the Water Pump Teynham on the A2 at 14.30.

Any Other Business

1. Discussion took place on venues. Copies of Medway Rollers fixture list for 2000/1 obtained by Nigel Sharrocks were handed around as possible suggestions for local venues/times.

2. Suggested dates for the AGM were Friday 28th December or Friday 4th January. Members are to let secretary know of their preferance before next meeting when decision on date will be made.

3.Secretary to put copy of rules in newsletter for review of rules to be made at AGM.

4. David Allen has very kindly donated a rod to the club and a Polaroid Camera complete with films to jump start the clubs photo gallery.

5. Discussion took place on club providing a chemical toilet for members use on the beach.
