Monthly Meeting Minutes 20th March 2002

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at the Billet Pub, Sittingbourne on Wednesday 20th March 2002.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

The minutes should of shown the last match as being at The Prince of Wales Pier and not Gravesend as shown. Apart from this the minutes were accepted as a true record.

Matters Arising

1. R Hills was still investigating the names of people in the pictures.
2. Treasurer to sign a new mandate form for the Club account with N Sharrocks on Saturday..
3. Monthly trophies now sorted.
4. UKSF insurance to be put in place by Treasurer by 10th April if acceptable.
5. M Hammond to investigate camping sites/prices in Hastings area for a short weekend break.
6. Subscriptions from the following members still to be paid by end of March:- N Sissons, A Greatorex, N Sharrocks, G Sharrocks, R Butler.
7. Sweatshirt order to be discussed again next month.

March Match

April Match

This was decided to be fished at Dungeness near the boats on Saturday 20th April fishing from 16.00 - 22.00. The pick up point will be at the water pump in Teynham at 14.30

May Match

The Match was decided to be fished at Herne Bay Harbour Arm on Sunday 12th May fishing from 11.00 - 16.00. The pick up point will be at the AA Kiosk Lay-by on the Thanet Way at 10.00. This will be a points match.

The draw for the second round of the Singles Knockout Competition resulted in the following heats:-

Correspondence

1. Newsletter dated 13.03.02 and minutes of last meeting dated 20.02.02 were sent to all members.
2. NFSA SE Divisional Minutes dated 28.02.02

These were shown and discussed.

Any Other Business

1.Presentation evening - was booked at The Billet on Saturday 23.03.02. Arrive at 7.15 for 8.00 pm sit down. Raffle prizes would be warmly welcomed. Members to assess condition of existing trophies on Saturday night with a view to replacing the most needy ones.

2. Chairman had provisionally booked Prince of Wales pier for Saturday 17.08.02 from 20.00 - 01.00.

3. Members were reminded to always hand in score cards at the end of the match even if only one fish was caught as they all count towards the totals for the year. If cards are not handed in fish caught will not count.

There being no other business the Chairman closed the meeting.
