Monthly Meeting Minutes 24th April 2002

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at the Billet Pub, Sittingbourne on Wednesday 24th April 2002.

Members Attending

R Hills, N Sharrocks, M Hammond, K Hammond, D Allen, J Allen, R Butler, C Clifton, R Clifton, A Clifton, C Porter and J Padmore. Two new members were voted into the club Wayne Scanlon and Paul Gynne.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

The minutes should of shown that Shaun Seager attended the last meeting. Apart from this the minutes were accepted as a true record.

Matters Arising

1. R Hills had been unable to name the names of people in the pictures who were thought not to be members of the fishing club.
2. Treasurer to sign a new mandate form for the Club account with N Sharrocks on Saturday.
3. UKSF insurance insurance form had been sent off a copy was handed to secretary.
5. M Hammond to investigate camping sites/prices in Hastings area for a short weekend break details to be brought in at next meeting.
6. Subscriptions are up to date now.
7. Sweatshirt order to be discussed again next month.
8. Presentation evening was enjoyed by all attending. Members thanked N Sharrocks for arranging trophies and M and K Hammond for running the raffle. Members decided that in the event of a draw in the Pairs Competition that the winners would be decided upon by the greatest length of fish caught to avoid having to buy multiple trophies for presentation as happen this year. Members decided to have a look at obtaining replacements for the Biggest Fish and Senior Most Fish Trophies. N Sharrocks to bring in a trophy catalogue to next meeting on Wednesday 15th May at the Billet.

May Match

The Match was changed to be at Ramsgate East Pier on Sunday 12th May fishing from 09.30 - 15.00. The pick up point will be at the AA Kiosk Lay-by on the Thanet Way at 08.30. This will be a points match.

June Match

This was decided to be fished at Walmer on Saturday 8th June fishing from 16.00 - 22.00. The pick up will be at 14.30 at the water pump in Teynham.

1. Discussion took place on holding a trip to a trout farm on 26th May for members interested. D Allen to make enquires.

2. Club bar-b-que to be held on 28th August. N Sharrocks to make enquires about constructing a bar-b-que in Billet Garden.
