Monthly Meeting Minutes 23rd October 2002

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at the Billet Pub, Sittingbourne on Wednesday 23rd October 2002.

Members Attending
A Crayford, R Butler, M Hammond, K Hammond, J Allen, C Clifton, R Clifton, A Clifton, C Porter, A Price, J Mann, R Hills, N Sharrocks, D Allen and J Padmore. Mr Conrad Skillen was introduced and welcomed as a new member to the Club.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting
It was raised that the minutes should have read that D Allen had attended the last meeting. Apart from this the minutes were accepted as a true record.

Matters Arising
1. Insurance Certificate has now been received.
2. Mark Hammond had written to Freshwater Holiday Park near Chesil Beach Dorset and received mail from them indicating that the price list for 2003 would be forwarded later in the year.
3. Secretary to compile order for sweatshirts and return sample garments to Wellbeck Sports via Mark Hammond.
4. Badges - Pinpoint Badges had not provided any information.
5. Treasure hunt was postponed to a later date
6. Boat trip with Hope Fishing Club Sunday 13th October was not attended by any members due to the lack of notice for the trip. Next trip is on 10th November. It maybe possible to get a full Blue Circle boat if there is enough interest.
7. Members were reminded to get their application forms in for Kent Classic as soon as possible.

November Match
This will be fished at Walmer on Sunday 17th November fishing from 10.00 - 16.00 pickup at 08.30 at the Water Pump in Teynham.

December Match
This was decided to be fished at Deal Pier on Sunday 8th December at Deal Pier fishing from 10 - 16.00 pick up at 08.30 at the Water Pump in Teynham

C Johnson Singles Knockout Competition
Reg Butler beat John Padmore to win the competition.

2. Members were asked to think about items for discussion/changes to rules/competitions/Clubman of the Year for the AGM which was to be booked for 15th January 2003
3. Presentation was arranged for 1st March. Members were asked to think about venues.
