Minutes of the Previous Meeting
It was pointed out that R Clifton attended last match and caught no fish
which should have been shown on the results. Apart from this the minutes
of the previous meeting were accepted as a true record.
Matters Arising
1. Camping prices at Freshwater Camp site for the bank holiday weekend
would be £48 for a minimum 4 night stay. This was felt to be excessive
and M Hammond to make enquiries about other camp sites for a trip before
the 2nd week in July when the schools break up for summer.

Remaining matches to be decided at March Match
March Match
Due to Folkestone Pier undergoing repairs members voted for additional
venues to those published in last minutes. Members voted that the venue
for March will be Princes Parade, Hythe on 16th March fishing from 09.00
- 15.00 pick up 07.30 at Aldi's car park. This will be a points match.
April Match
Members voted to choose either Deal Pier or behind Abbotts Laboratories
at Queenborough. All members were asked to let the next meeting know of
their choice.
Correspondence
1. Newsletter and minutes of last meeting were sent to all members.
2. email from Clarkeroxborough Insurance confirming insurance cover for
revised membership list.
These were read and discussed.
Any Other
Business
1. Members called for an Extraordinary General meeting to be called to
vote upon the reintroduction of the awarding of a point for attending
meetings and for the formal introduction of a rule for the need for 'walk
offs' at Piers and other venues where it is felt there is a positional
advantage to be gained. This meeting would be held before the next monthly
meeting on 19th March at 8 pm at the Billet.
2. Members were reminded about the need for the accurate measuring of
fish to the nearest half centimetre.
3. Discussion took place on the points system and some members were concerned
with the value of 15 points for unclassified fish. But as points system
was same for all members it was decided to keep the existing points system.
[Post meeting note: The AGM minuted "Members aired their views on
the trial points system used last year and the committee was instructed
to investigate the various points systems and to report their findings
back to the club for a decision." To date this has not been done].
4. Members
were reminded that members who could not attend meetings have to let either
the secretary or chairman know before a meeting on how they want to vote
on any known issues.
5. Members
were reminded of the requirement to pay this years subscriptions by March.
6. Members
were reminded that raffle prizes would be most welcome for the Presentation
Evening. Secretary to phone around members who had not indicated whether
or not they were going to attend the Presentation meal and give results
to M Hammond by Friday 21st February. Members attending meal should arrive
by 7 pm on 1st march at latest for press photographs.
7. N Sharrocks
had provisionally booked a boat out of Queenborough on 8th June. Members
wanting to go on the trip are to inform Nigel by the April meeting and
if there are not enough members to fill the boat places could be offered
to others.
There being no further business the chairman closed the meeting
