Monthly Meeting Minutes 23rd April 2003

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at the Billet Pub, Sittingbourne on Wednesday 23rd April 2003.

Members Attending

N Sharrocks, M Hammond, K Hammond, K Moran, J Mann, D Sandy, A Price, J Padmore, A Greatorex, A Crayford and C Skillen.

Apologies

N Sissons. Condolence was given to John Allen and family for the recent death of his father.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

The minutes of the previous meeting and extraordinary general meeting were accepted as a true record.

Matters Arising

1. M Hammond was asked to investigate further other sites along the Kent/Sussex coast.
2. Subscriptions are over due from D Curtis, P Gynne, C Munday, J Johnson, S Seager, N, D & S Sissons, Colin Saunders and W & L Scanlon. S Seager owes £30 for presentation meal. This money should be paid as soon as possible.
3. Due to members leaving club monthly results would be adjusted.
4. N Sharrocks had booked a boat out of Queenborough on 8th June for £20 per head. 9 Members had booked a place. There is 1 remaining place to be filled. Phone Nigel Sharrocks immediately on reading this to book this last place.
5. M Hammond had produced and displayed membership poster in pub and tackle shops.

April Match

Transferred to Shakespere Beach, Dover on 20th April Fishing from 11.00 - 17.00

Singles Knockout Competition.

All matches still to be decided at May Match.

May Match

Members decided to fish at Hampton Beach, Herne Bay. Secretary to choose best tide on the weekend of 17/18th May preferably on an evening tide.
[Post meeting note the match will be fished from 12.00 - 18.00 on Sunday 18th May. Pick up at 11.00 at Aldi's. High tide is at approximately 15.00 hrs]

June Match

This will be fished at either Walmer or Isle of Grain. All members were asked to let the next meeting know of their choice.

Correspondence

1. Newsletter and minutes of last meeting were sent to all members.
2. Membership poster received from Mark Hammond for the club.
These were read and discussed.

Any Other Business

1. At the next meeting there would be a vote for a new committee member to be elected due to recent resignations.
2. A meeting of the social committee would be held on 10th May at The Billet to discuss the Bar B Que
