Monthly Meeting Minutes 25th June 2003

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at the Billet Pub, Sittingbourne on Wednesday 25th June 2003.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting
The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as a true record.

Matters Arising
1. M Hammond reported on Broadhembury camp site near Ashford
2. Subscriptions were now up to date. S Seager still owes £30 for presentation meal. Secretary to contact S Seager for money.
3. Boat trip on 8th June was enjoyed by all those attending with everyone catching fish. There was £30 over from the trip and members agreed this should be put towards another trip to be provisionally booked by Nigel Sharrocks in November.
4. Treasure Hunt arrangements were well in hand. Posters and tickets were produced. Tickets were given to Billet to sell.
5. K Moran planned to do boot fair for clubs benefit on Sunday August 10th. Members were asked to phone Kerry/ Jason to make arrangements for delivery of suitable goods.
6. Casting event was arranged for Sunday 3rd August at Blacketts Farm, Tonge.

July Match
Members decided to fish at Dungeness on Saturday 19th July fishing from 18.00 - 00.00 pick up at 16.30 at Aldi's car park. J Mann to enquire about getting key for barrier at Dungeness.

Correspondence
1. Newsletter and minutes of last meeting were sent to all members. N Sharrocks did not receive last minutes and was handed a copy by Secretary for his records.
These had been read.

Any Other Business
1. K Hammond offered half yearly Statement of Accounts to the club showing £??? under the clubs control. Members accepted them as a true account and thanked the Treasurer for her hard work.

2. Pairs competition - Chairman and Secretary to redraw pairs for members who no longer had a partner due to resignations.

3. Jason Mann was congratulated for qualifying for and being selected for the England Casting Team to visit Italy in September. Jason is looking for sponsorship to help with the costs of the event and can be contacted.

4. J Mann to make enquiries about match against Woodcombe fishing club.

There being no further business the chairman closed the meeting
