A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at the Billet Pub, Sittingbourne on Wednesday 23^rd July 2003.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting
The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as a true record.

Matters Arising
1. Secretary still to chase S Seager for £30 for presentation meal.

2. Boat trip to be arranged by Nigel Sharrocks in November.

 3. Treasure Hunt arrangements were well in hand. Posters and tickets were produced. Table signs were made. Agreed that £3 would be charged for  Bar B Que only.

 4. K Moran planned to do boot fair for clubs benefit on Sunday August 10^th. Members were asked to phone Kerry/ Jason on 01795 553948 to make arrangements for delivery of suitable goods. If there were too few items to sell by 3^rd August it would be called off.

 5. Casting event was arranged for Sunday 3^rd August at Blacketts Farm, Tonge. Meet at 9.30 at Aldis car park to travel down together.

 6. M Hammond to take over running of pairs competition from N Sharrocks. Revised Pairs still to be redrawn.

 7. J Mann had made provisional arrangements with Woodcombe for a match possibly in October.

 July Match
Changed to Dengemarsh at the meeting point on Saturday 19th July fishing from 18.00 – 21.30. The match was finished early due to lightning storm.

August Match
Members decided to fish at Lloyds Building Chatham on Sunday 17^th August Fishing from 13.00 – 18.00 pick up at 12.00 at the Long Hop Pub.

 Correspondence
1. Newsletter and minutes of last meeting were sent to all members. N Sharrocks did not receive last minutes.
2 J Mann had a copy of the Ascari Fishing Tackle catalogue if any member wanted to buy cheap fishing gear.
These had been read.

Any Other Business

1. Members voted to sponsor England caster Jason Mann with £100 for his trip to Italy. This sum may be increased if the boot fair and Treasure Hunt are successful.

 2. Members decided to hold the Presentation evening on Saturday 28^th February. M Hammond to see if the Mayor could attend to present the prizes.

There being no further business the chairman closed the meeting.
