Monthly Meeting Minutes 25th May 2005

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at The Beauty of Bath on Wednesday 25th May 2005.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting
The minutes of the previous meeting should have shown apologies from R Hills. Apart from this they were accepted as a true record.

Matters Arising
1. Casting practise to be held Sunday 5th June.
2. The venues found by K Moran for the presentation would be discussed at the next meeting. R Hills reported that the Bowling Club could apply for additional licensing hours if required.

Walmer - 21st May - fished from 1700 to 2200

Notable fish: K Hammond Pout 420g returned, J Mann Dogfish 860g returned

C Johnson Singles Knockout Competition
The draw for the next round resulted in the following heats to be fished at the June or July venues: -
R Hills vs. S Osborn
R Butler vs. A Crayford
B Clarke vs. D Sandy
S Heathfield vs. K Hammond

June Match
To be fished at Dungeness Point - 18th June 16.30 - 22.30. Pickup 15.00 - Centre 2000 near Ashford Tackle, Sittingbourne

1. Newsletter and minutes sent to all members.
2. Welbeck Sports advert for sweatshirts etc.

Any Other Business
1. N Sharrocks intends to stand down as Chairman due to work and other commitments he is not able to give the attention that the position held deserves/requires. Club members were asked to think about a suitable replacement.
2. K Hammond intends to stand down as Treasurer at the AGM. Club members were asked to think about a suitable replacement.
3. It was proposed that Blacketts be considered for the July match.

There being no further business the meeting was closed.
