Monthly Meeting Minutes 21st September 2005

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at The Beauty of Bath on Wednesday 21st September 2005.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting
K Moran pointed out that her name was incorrectly spelt in the previous minutes. Secretary to check her r's more carefully in future. Apart from this the minutes were accepted as a true record.

Matters Arising
1. The casting practise was enjoyed by those attending on September 4th.
2. The venues for the presentation was decided to be at Milton Bowls club next year. Ray Hills was asked to make enquiries to see if Saturday 11th February was available 6.30 for 7.00 pm start.
3. The match against the Drive2fish fishing club on Sunday 18th September at Deal Pier did not occur as Drive2fish did not attend.
4. Boot fair stall was run by J Mann and K Moran and raised £34.25 for club funds for which they were thanked.
5. S Heathfeild had obtained a key for the Dungeness gate.

Deal Pier - Sunday 18th September - fishing from 10.00 - 16.00

Members were reminded that it was usual practise to only fish the top arm of the pier to avoid the sometimes crowded lower deck.

October Match
To be fished at Hythe - Saturday 15th October 17.00 - 23.00. Pickup 15.30 - Centre 2000 near Ashford Tackle, Sittingbourne

Correspondence
1. Newsletter and minutes sent to all members.
2. Email from two people about joining.
3. Insurance renewal form from Clark Roxborough. Members agreed to renew the insurance.

Any Other Business
1. Secretary to contact N Sharrocks to get club ties, club Shakespere rod and reel and any permanent trophies back in time for presentation.
2. S Heathfeild reported that Darren Sandy's parents have offered to donate a trophy to the club in his memory. S Heathfeild to consider what would be most appropriate when examining the existing club trophies and come back to the club with suggestions.
3. A casting practise will be held on Sunday 2nd October at Blacketts.

There being no further business the elected chairman closed the meeting.
