Monthly Meeting Minutes 21st December 2005

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Sea Angling Club was held at The Beauty of Bath on Wednesday 21st December 2005.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting
The minutes of the last meeting were accepted as a true record.

Matters Arising
1. Ray Hills reported that presentation at bowls club on Saturday 11th February from 7.00 for 7.30 pm start could not be started earlier as there was a group having a meal before our slot however there would be no objection to the club getting there earlier at 6.30 for a drink away from the dining area. R Hills to arrange for 11.00 finish time. Menu choices are required by next monthly meeting on Wednesday 25th January. Secretary to forward membership list to Matt Steel who is coordinating menu choices.
2. Secretary still to contact Nigel Sharrocks about club property including ties, rods, reels, trophies and trophy disks. Secretary to work out pairs competition results.
3. Jason Mann reported he would contact sweatshirt suppliers after Christmas.

December Match
Venue changed to Medway City Estate - Sunday 18th December fished from 11.00 - 16.00

A Crayford vs S Osborn were encouraged to fish their semi final at next match in hope that final could be fished before presentation. The heats are to be fished to a conclusion. S Heathfeild to contact S Osborn who had not attended last few matches.

January Match
To be fished at Dengemarsh from Diamond to The Boil - Sunday 22nd January 11.00 - 17.00. Pickup 09.30 - Centre 2000, Sittingbourne.

1. Newsletter and minutes sent to all members.

Any Other Business
1. Website needs updating. Matt Steel reoffered to maintain website and see if he could arrange for it to be hosted on servers at his works. Secretary to email Matt with website files.
2. AGM to be held on Wednesday 18th January at 8 pm at the Beauty of Bath.
3. Secretary to circulate voting forms for Angler of the Year.
4. Secretary to give list of last years to S Heathfield to check that all trophies had been returned. Secretary to contact N Sharrocks about name of trophy shop used for trophies last year.
5. Secretary to circulate membership list, club and knockout competition rules for members to consider revising at AGM.
6. it was suggested the club runs a boat trip in new year

There being no further business the chairman closed the meeting.
