AGM Minutes 28th January 1975

The AGM of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Angling Club was held on Tuesday 28th January 1975 at the Works Club.

Mr R Hills was elected into the chair for this meeting.

H Andrews, the retiring Secretary, reported that owing to the change of officers in July 1974 there were no minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting but the minutes of the Special General Meeting held in July were read. These had already been accepted.

The result of the election of Officers was as follows:-

Chairman - R Hills
Secretary - H Andrews
Committee - P Cunningham, G Brenchley, L Hammond, G Swinyard, D Bowman elected en bloc and G Ralf elected on Committee later in the meeting.

Rules
On a proposal by P Cunningham, seconded by A Russell, it was decided to alter rule 10 to allow members to use 3 hooks insted of two. One member abstained from voting.

It was proposed by the Secretary, seconded by P Cunningham that the name of the Club be altered from the APCM Angling Association to the one which is now normally used i.e. The Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Angling Club. This was carried one member recording a vote against.

The Secretary was instructed to enquire into the cost of having rule cards printed.

On a proposal by V J Pitts, seconded by P Cunningham it was decided that the subscriptions for 1975 shall be £2.50 for adults and £1.75 for Juniors.

The Secretary reported that we had had a successful year and had ended 1974 with a cash balance of £3.62

The secretary suggested that club matters could be handled by the Committee Members but it was generally agreed that the present way by having general monthly meetings should be continued.

There being no further business for this AGM the Chairman thanked members and closed the meeting
