Minutes 28th January 1975

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne)Angling Club was held at the works club on Tuesday 28th January 1975.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

Arising from the minutes the secretary reported that we were now in the Medway Association of Sea Angling Clubs and Specimen Fish Size Forms from the Association were given to committee members. Also the fixture list for 1975 was to hand.

The Presentation of Awards had been held as arranged and members had expressed their appreciation.

It was decided to defer any ordering of badges until after the next meeting when Mr G Ralph might have a sample badge for our approval.

5 new members 3 juniors and 2 seniors were admitted.

We were unable to go out to the Breakwater on January 26th and the match was fished from the Prince of Wales Pier, 7 fish being caught and the match was won by G Swinyard with 2 fish weighing 12½ oz. The match was attended by 15 members.

On a proposal by P Cunningham seconded by B Jenner it was decided that Dungeness shall be the venue for our match on February 16th 1975. Meet at 6.30 am. Alternative date February 9th.

Boats. We had been unable to go out for our January trip, but the same members had booked seats for our February 9th trip. The 5 seats for the March trip have been booked by A Russell, P Davison, G Ralph, K Gage and H Andrews.

There being no other business the Chairman thanked the members and closed the meeting. At the request of the Secretary the Chairman immediately reopened the meeting.

The secretary asked members who might call at G Ralphs home for the club scales and our member not being home to quote the code M.C.P.A. to Mr Ralph senior to identify themselves as being entitled to take the scales.

The meeting was then closed.
