Minutes 18th February 1975

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Angling Club was held at the works club on Tuesday February 18th 1975.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

Arising from the minutes mention was made of MASAC fixtures and members were interested in fixture for 21st June a night match on Dover Breakwater.

The February match at Dungeness was attended by 20 members and was won by G Swinyard with 2 fish weighing 8½ ozs.

Correspondence
A letter from Kent County Council referring to our protest about the proposed bye laws for the South Bank of the Swale Nature Reserve had been received. We were assured that our interests would be protected and were requested to withdraw our protest in view of alterations to these bye laws. The secretary was instructed to notify Kent County Council that our protest is withdrawn.

One new adult member was admitted to the club.

The boat crew for March 9th shall be G Swinyard, B Jenner, G Ralph, K Gage, H Andrews and one private.

On a proposal by L Hammond seconded by P Davison it was decided that Seabrook shall be the venue for our March competition at 6.30 am on March 23rd. Alternative date March 30th.

Mr G Ralph produced a sample badge and was asked to go ahead with production of further badges.

The secretary was instructed to enquire about MASAC badges and to ask about bookings in their competition on night of June 21st.

The secreatary was asked to arrange for 1976 Tide tables to be available by November.

It was decided that the secretary shall produce a financial report at the next meeting.

There being no other business the Chairman thanked the members and closed the meeting.
