AGM Minutes 9th January 1979

The Annual General Meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Angling Club was held on Tuesday 9th January 1979 at the works Club.
Members present being Messrs. Pitts, Bowman, R Hills, Andrews, K Tullett, Hodges, Ralph, Read, Williams, Gates, Smitherman, Hawkins and West.

Apologies were recieved from Messrs. K Hills, P Davison, K Gage, R Cox, D Pankhurst, P Cunningham and L Jarrett.

Mr R Hills was elected Chairman of the meeting.

The Minutes of the previous AGM were read and confirmed.

Mr Andrews reported that the Club matches and boat trips had been well supported and much enjoyed in spite of the shortage of fish. He also thanked the members for their sympathy and help his illness especially Mr P Davison who took over the secretarial duties at that time.

The Financial Report was studied and unanimously confirmed.

The election of officers for 1979 produced the following results:-

Mr Ralph presented the club with a very nice wooden base for a cup and offered to supply suitable shields for engraving and adding to same.

The Chairman thanked Mr Ralph, and, there being no other business, closed the meeting.
