AGM Minutes 22nd January 1980

The Annual General Meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Angling Club was held on Tuesday 22nd January 1980 at the works club.

Members present being Messrs R Hills, H Andrews, D Bowman, J Pitts, R Smitherman, D Gates, P Davison, D Hawkins, D Williams, R Ward, C West and K Hills.

Apologies for absence were received from Messrs L Jarrett, K Gage, G Ralph and P Cunningham.

Mr R Hills was elected into the chair.

The minutes of the previous AGM were read and confirmed.

Mr H Andrews retiring secretary reported that club activities had not been so well supported and very few fish had been caught. In spite of this we had had an enjoyable year.

Mr Andrews submitted the Financial Report, which was studied by members and unanimously confirmed.

Mr Andrews was given a vote of thanks for service to the club.

The election of officers produced the following results:-

The venues for 1980 were decided upon, also dates and times, with the exception of the December match, which will be held in conjunction with the Sheppey AA Mongague Burton Match. It was also decided that members unable to attend on match dates and requiring alternative dates must notify the committee a month in advance and fish the match on the date a week earlier than the clubs arranged date.

There being no other business the Chairman thanked the members and closed the meeting.
