AGM Minutes 26th January 1982

The AGM of the Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Angling Club was held at the works club on Tuesday 26th January 1982.

Members attending were as follows: - D Bowman, J Pitts, D Hawkins, R Bennett, G Wilson, D Hawkins, J Harris, D Goodhew, S Scudder, R Bunting, R Ward, D Falkner, S Fosbrey, M Woodward, J Carr, S Glayzer, R Hopper, R Hills and P Davison.

Apologies were received from P Mathews, R Baker, G Baker and P Williams.

Mr R Hills was elected as Chairman.

The Minutes of the previous AGM were read and confirmed.

The retiring secretary Mr P Davison reported that the club had a very good year, the membership had more than doubled, the meetings and matches had been well attended and all but two matches had produced fish. Our disco at Iwade Village Hall had put the club on a good financial footing. He then thanked all members for their support and enthusiasm.

The Financial Report was submitted and studied by members present and unanimously confirmed.

Election of officers for 1982:-

Proposed S Scudder Seconded R Bunting that alternative dates for matches be cancelled - agreed.
Proposed D Hawkins Seconded J Pitts club subscriptions be increased for the following year to £3 for seniors and £1.75 for juniors - agreed.
Proposed R Bennett seconded D Hawkins the points system for matches and meetings be awarded as follows: -
Winner 4 points
Second 3 points
Third 2 points
1 Point for any fish weighed in
1 Point for attending match
1 Point for attending meeting

Agreed

There being no other business the Chairman closed the meeting.
