Minutes January 17th 1984

A meeting of Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Angling Club was held at the works club on Tuesday 17th January.

Members present were as follows: - J Farram, R Bunting, J Carr, G Wilson, R Hills and P Davison.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

The January match was fished at Sandwich Bay on the evening of Saturday 14th January. Members attending were as follows: - R Bunting, J Farrar, B Waller, D Harris, J Harris, G Wilson, R Hills, P Davison and D Bowman. 49 fish were weighed in the match being won by R Hills.

The February match shall be the fur and feather against Faversham and Beckenham AC's. The stewards shall be R Hills and P Davison. R Bunting and G Wilson offered to run the raffle.

Any other business
Proposed by R Hills and seconded by R Bunting - the £3 monthly prize be rescinded and in its place a trophy for each monthly winner be purchased and presented at the presentation night also the monthly medallion be continued - all agreed.

It was suggested that in the coming year the club should purchase a pouting cup and if possible a whiting cup. This is to be debated later in the year.
A social evening to be arranged with Faversham in either April or May.

Any match on the south coast i.e. Sandwich to Dungeness pick up to be 30 minutes earlier.

There being no other business the chairman closed the meeting.
