AGM Minutes 11th December 1984

The AGM of the Blue Circle (Sittingbourne) Angling Club was held at 6 Grove Park Avenue Sittingbourne on Tuesday 11th December.

Members present were as follows: - J Padmore, B Waller, D Harris, J Harris, J Carr, C Meader, r Bunting, R Hills and P Davison.

The minutes of the previous AGM were read and confirmed.

Proposed R Bunting seconded J Harris that R Hills be Chairman for the forthcoming year - all agreed.

Matters arising: - there were no matters arising.

Mr P Davison as retiring secretary reported the club had had a good year 166 fish had been weighed in with a total weight of 86lb 14oz. The club was financially quite well off, but as usual we do need more members. He then thanked the members for their support during the past year.

The finance report was passed around and studied by the members present. The members present voted it a true copy.

Proposed by R Bunting seconded by J Harris that during the summer months i.e. June to September the club shall fish only night matches due to the beaches being crowded during the day --all agreed.

A general discussion took place on the subject of members subs etc. it was decided to keep the subs the same and to continue the monthly subs. J Harris volunteered to collect the monthly subs. The meeting point at the pump in Teynham to remain. It was stressed that all members make an effort to meet there.

There being no other business the chairman closed the meeting.
