The
Circular - your monthly newsletter
Anyway
here we are again - a little quiz to start with what does NASA stand for?......I'll
tell you on the beach if you're good.
The most important thing for you to do this month is to sort out who and
what they want to eat for the presentation evening on Saturday 1st March
at the Billet. The cost will be £15 per adult, children eating from
the kids menu free. There will be a bottle of wine per 2 adults on the
table included in price. You need to get to the Billet at 7 pm for press
photos with our guest of honour the Mayor! It will be a great opportunity
for you to get a picture of you with the Mayor, her daughter and son-in-law
together to show your children and to pin on your back door to keep the
burglars away!!
We also need the permanent trophies returned as soon as possible to get
engraved so if you won one last year and haven't returned it phone me
on the number below, once you have cleaned it to the standard you would
expect to receive it in, to arrange collection/delivery.
The next match is at the Prince Of Wales Pier, Dover where it will cost
(I think) £3 entry and about £5 to park so bring along plenty
of change for the machines. Don't forget if you have a disabled sticker
on your car you can drive onto the pier. If you cannot get to the meeting
point and intend to meet us down there please don't set up all your gear
before the main group gets there so every one gets a fair chance to fish
where they want. Expect to catch pouting, whiting, flounder and some of
the smaller uglier species down the wall (no not Jason!) such as gobbies,
blennies and rockling. Why not try ground baiting the area you are fishing
in by taking along a mesh bag or even a plastic bag with small holes in
filled with old cut up mackerel, squid, old bits of frozen bait, the bait
you take your hooks when you rebait, the guts of fish you catch, a cheap
tin of sardines etc
I'll see
you on the beach,
John Padmore
