All on the doorstep
Beddgelert stands in a favoured location, right in the mountains but close to the sea. Walkers can follow in the footsteps of the poet William Wordsworth, who set off from here to the summit of Snowdon. For those who prefer something less demanding, there are countless easier walks and nature trails to choose from.
Miles of safe, golden sands - ideal for family bathing - are just a short drive away. All kinds of activities are available, from canoeing to wind-surfing, pony trekking to sea fishing, golfing to riding on narrow-guage "Great Little Trains". Castles appear over almost every hilltop. And the two trout and salmon-filled rivers running through Beddgelert itself offer magnificent game fishing.
Beddgelert is an all-year-round mountain resort for sport and relaxation. Climbers can tackle demanding rock faces, particularly in winter when they are comparable to the Alps. Everyone can enjoy the vistas of snow-capped peaks, and the special appeal of the countryside in the peaceful spring and autumn.
The Hotel does not have facilities for pets.
