Alice Alpina and Macropetela Clematis

Alpina Frances Rivis - Lantern shaped flowers of light mid blue with a centre of white. Small flowers but slightly larger than other alpinas. 6-8ft. March-April. No pruning. Suitable for a north or east aspect.

Alpina Helsingborg - Nodding purple flowers with dark centre. 8-10ft. April-May. Any aspect especially north. No pruning.

Alpina Pink Flamingo - Alpina Ruby - Small nodding purple pink flowers with a white centre. 6-8ft. March-April. Flowers again later in summer. Ideal for north or east aspect. No pruning.

Alpina Willy - Small pink lantern shaped flowers with red centre. 8-10ft. March-April. Ideal for north aspect. No pruning.

Macropetala Bluebird - Lavender blue nodding double nodding flowers, sepals spiky, slightly larger than other Macropetalas (2-4"). Ideal for north or shady aspect. No pruning.

Macropetala Floralia - Macropetala Harry Smith - Macropetala Lagoon - Deep blue flowers. Characteristics similar to other Macropetalas. Macropetala

Markham's Pink - 2-3" pink nodding flowers in March-May. 7-10ft. Any position. No pruning.

Macropetala Rosy O' Grady - 2-3" rose pink flowers with long pointed sepals. March-May. 7-10ft. Any aspect. No pruning.

Macropetala White Swan - Double white nodding flowers. April-May. 8-10ft. Any aspect. No.

Gurnsey Cream. Cream flowers, yellow anthers. May-June, Sept. 6-8ft. Any aspect.

Hagely Hybrid. Med shell pink cup shaped flowers, brown anthers. 6ft. June-Aug. Any aspect but south. Hard pruning.

Haku Ookan. Eyecatching deep violet flowers with contrasting white stamens. 8-10ft. May-June, Sept. Any aspect. Little/None pruning.

Henryii. Cream flowers, coffee coloured anthers. 8-10ft. June-Sept. Any aspect. Little/None pruning.

Lady Betty Balfour. Royal blue flowers, yellow anthers. Requires full sun as it is late flowering. Sept-Oct. 10-15ft. South west aspect. Hard pruning.

Lasurstern. Blue flowers, creamy anthers. 8-10ft. May-June, Aug-Sept. Any aspect. Little/None pruning.

Lawsoniana. 9inch sky blue flowers flushed with mauve and pale brown anthers. 8-12ft. May-June, Aug. Any aspect. Little/None pruning.

Lincoln Star. Raspberry pink flowers with deep red anthers. 7-9ft. May-June. Any aspect but south. Little/None pruning.

Lilacina Floribunda. Rich purple flowers. 10-12ft. June-July,Sept. Any aspect. Little/None pruning.

Louise Rowe. Pale mauve double, semi-double and single flowers at the same time, gold centre. 8-10ft. May-June and Sept. Any aspect. Little/None pruning.

Madame Baron Veillard. Med, rosy lilac flowers. 12ft. Sept-Oct. Any position but north. Hard pruning.

Madame Edouard Andre. Med dusky red flowers of a velvety texture with cream anthers. 8-10ft. June-Sept. Any aspect. Hard pruning.

Madame Grange. Med dusky purple flowers, silvery underside, dark anthers. 8-10ft. Aug-Sept. Sunny aspect needed. Hard pruning.

Marie Boisselot. Beautifully formed white flowers, gold anthers. 8-10ft. June-Aug. Any aspect. Little/None pruning.

Miss Bateman. Compact plant, medium cream-white flowers, chocolate anthers. 6-7ft. May-June. Any aspect but north. Little/None pruning.

Mrs Cholmondeley. Lavender blue flowers with long pointed sepals and brown stamens. Longest flowering cultivar of them all. May-Sept. 8-12ft. Any position. Little/None pruning.
