??????? What is wrong with Burgess Hill ???????
I used to go regularly to the Sidney West leisure centre gym. It cost me £2.20 a session. Now that they've knocked it down and built ' the triangle'. I'd have to pay a whopping £90 joining fee plus £25 a month to do the same. Just to add insult to injury, they've turned Sidney West into a CAR PARK!!! I pay my council tax just like everyone else but this is taking the you know what. Am I alone on this one.

You got sucked into this one pal. You thought, just like every other sucker, that the Triangle would be a better deal. You did'nt do your homework and take the trouble to find out what the consequences would be before it was built. Still the Council is the elected body so ask them what's going on and use your vote wisely in future.
Oh! by the way, while your at it, ask them what's happening to Burgess Hill Police Station before they knock that down as well.

I was interested to read Nick's email about the Triangle. It looks like the same thing is happening in Haywards Heath. I read in the local Council paper that The Dolphin is about to have a £2.3 Million refit. I spoke to someone on the Council about it and they said that the prices would be brought into line with those at the Triangle once the refit was completed. That means they will be going Up!! I know the Council in Burgess Hill have always done their best for Burgess Hill and it is not always easy to balance the needs of locals and the needs of new housing and roads. The money for the new link road and Triangle have to come from somewhere. John - Burgess Hill

The bottom line is this, can the local Burgess Hillite afford to use the Triangle facilities. I say the answer is no. The new people who can afford the new houses probably can but where does that leave the rest of us? Mike - Burgess Hill

I would like to put the record straight here. The minimum cost of using the Triangle fitnes centre is £40 joining fee, plus £35/year for day membership plus £4.10 per session off peak, not as stated in Nick's emal. However I must admit this does seem rather expensive compared to the Sidney West Samantha - Burgess Hill
