Robin Brown was elected  in 1997. He served as Vice-Chairman on the Economic Development and Europe Committee, and also served on Strategic Planning, Social Services and the Policy Advisory Group to Social Services. His special interests are disability issues and children in care. He is married with children and his hobbies are sailing, walking, cycling, travel and cinema.
Born and educated in Surrey, he is married and has lived in Aldwick for 37 years. A Design Engineer, he has worked in design, research and development on space technology and marine engineering. As Sales Director of an International Marine company he travelled extensively throughout Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
 He has served on Arun District Council since 1992 and chaired a number of committees including Licensing, Grants and Environmental Services. He was Vice Chairman of Environment Tourism and Leisure Committee and has been a director of the West Sussex Area Enterprise Board
As the West Sussex County Officer of the Conservative Disability Group, he has been involved in regular discussions with Ministers in relation to the new Disability Discrimination Act and the related problems of access to the workplace and building design.

Mike Coleman has lived with wife Frances in Aldwick since 1984. After a career with IBM, involving work in the UK, Europe and the US, he established a local communications company. Since 1998, he has applied his skills by creating and heading a Communications Consultancy business that serves any international companies. He serves as an Aldwick parish councillor and was formerly an Arun District Councillor for Aldwick West. He is a supporter of local conservation organisations and committed to conserving the local environment and enhancing local facilities through consultation and wise financial management. His hobbies include information technology and sailing.

Christina Freeman has 27 years experience with a multi-national company in London specialising in advertising, personnel and public relations. She served on Yapton Parish Council for two years and became Chairman of Arun District Association of Local Councils in 2000. Since being elected to West Sussex County Council, she has become Policy Adviser to the Cabinet Member for Education and the Arts, with special responsibility for the Arts, also a member of the Education and Arts Select Committee. She was appointed Chairman of the Arts and Heritage Task Force. As Policy Adviser on Community Planning to the Cabinet Member for Community Development, Christina also has an input to the Community Planning Process, including Area Committees. Appointments to Outside Bodies include: South East Arts, Littlehampton Harbour Board, University of Sussex Court, West Sussex Countryside Steering Trust, West Sussex Museums Council and South East England Cultural Consortium. She is a Governor of Chichester Girls High School. Her special interests are the countryside and planning, law and order and the arts. Married to Barrie, she lists her hobbies as music, theatre, watercolour painting and Formula One racing.

Harold Hall has represented Fontwell division since 1991 and is currently Leader of the Council. He has announced his retirement as Leader for September 2003. He has served as Cabinet Member for Strategic Environmental Services, Chairman of Strategic Planning Committee and has served on the Education Committee. He has also represented the County Council on a range of national and regional bodies. Now retired, Harold was in the printing and publishing industry for 52 years. He is a school governor, and has four children and nine grandchildren.

Peter Moor was the Senior Deputy Commissioner of Police in Hong King before he retired. During the Second World War he served in the RAF, spending over three years in India. He is President of the Royal Hong Kong Police Association, and a founder group chairman of the Leonard Cheshire Foundation Services in West Sussex. He is a Governor of Angmering School and East Preston Junior School. He continues to be involved with the Voluntary sector including Sofas and Stuff, a furniture and clothing project for those in need. He has been a member of West Sussex County Council since 1997 and is Vice-Chairman of the Education and the Arts Select Committee. Married with three children, Peter’s hobbies include walking, reading, music, the theatre and the National Trust.

Christopher Sedgwick is a retired chartered accountant who was first elected to the County Council in 1995. He is former Chairman of the Audit and Fire, Police Liaison and Public Protection Committees and Property Sub-Committee. He was Vice-Chairman of the Social and Caring Services Select Committee. Christopher was elected Vice Chairman of the County Council in June 2001, is Vice Chairman of the Governance Committee and continues to be Chairman of the Downland Area Committee. He spent 32 years in the construction industry and is a Freeman of the City of London and Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Paviors. He has been a Governor of various schools in the Worthing and Horsham areas for 20 years. Christopher is a Justice of the Peace, and is Chairman of the Rowans Association, the voluntary fund raising arm of the Rowans Care Centre in Worthing. A widower with three grown-up children, his interests include golf, gardening, walking, reading and the arts.

Alan Stainton lives in Felpham with his wife. They are both Arun District Councillors, where he is Vice-Chairman of the Best Value Committee and Chairman of it’s Scrutiny Committee. He has a special interest in sailing and water issues and enjoys clay pigeon shooting. He has two children and one grandson.

Graham  married Diane in 1974. They have 3 daughters Emma, Katie, and Lucy. They were in the Licensed trade and both retired on in 2002. Diane and Emma now run a small homecare business in East Preston while Graham pursues his County Council duties. A Conservative party member for many years Graham is a member of Rustington Parish Council. For the county, Graham sits on Social and Caring Services Select committee ,Littlehampton Harbour Board, Littlehampton C.A.B. management committee,and is a Governor of Connaught Junior School. Graham is very much opposed to the single currency and a great advocator of keeping Local Government local and keeping our pound. His main hobby is boating.

Oliver Wingrove lives in Findon and has been an Arun District Councillor since 1991 and was Deputy Leader from 1995 to 1999. He is currently Cabinet Member for the Leisure Portfolio on the District Council. He has a financial background, working abroad until 1987. Oliver has an A-level in Russian obtained during National Service with the RAF in Berlin. His main interest is in the arts, including film, theatre, opera and literature. Oliver enjoys most sports and is a qualified cricket umpire. He takes a special interest in economic and financial matters generally and the stock market in particular. His hobby is collecting English silver coins.
