They run a mail order book business using traditional outlets and the Internet. Lionel is a long-term member of  Henfield Conservatives , being Treasurer for three years and Chairman for four. And, the past Chairman of a local business group, now the chamber of trade.
A member of the Education and Arts Select Committee and the Arts Task Force, he is  Policy Advisor with responsibilities for Minerals & Waste Planning issues and a school governor. Lionel says that playing a part as a Member who also runs a business makes this an exciting way of serving his community. His hobbies include computers, reading American crime novels and political biographies.
A firm believer in less control from central government and the fact that ‘Tories cost you less’ he firmly supports the need for county councils in planning for the future. ‘Regional government is likely to bring nothing but dissatisfaction to the people of West Sussex’

RH20 3LN
Phone: 01903 892543

Frank Wilkinson has spent most of his working life in the Ice Cream industry and has been involved on the political scene since his mid twenties.  Frank, who has been married to Ros since 1961 and has three children and three grandchildren, believes passionately in family life and all that that entails – respect, decency and responsibility.  He is very much concerned that the breakdown of the family unit is one reason that discipline in schools and the spread of lawlessness on our streets is getting worse.  At County Hall Frank is Policy Adviser on Waste Management and is very active in the field of education and has recently joined the Fostering Committee.
