He was elected to Worthing Borough Council in 1998, but first became a councillor in Ilford, Essex in 1957. His special interests are highways, fire and police matters. He has been Chairman of Worthing Parking Forum since 1997. Now retired, John is married to Brenda and they have two grown-up children. He enjoys military music. #top |

Colin O'Neill has been a county councillor
for Cissbury since 1997. Colin is a member of Corporate Review
Select Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Education Select Committee, and
serves on its Joint Consultative Committee, as well as on several sub groups.
Colin sits on the Schools Organisation Committee and Worthing Community Health
Council. Previously, he served on Education, Social Services & Policy
/Resources Committees and was Chairman of Youth Community and Continuing
Education. He also chaired the Social Services Worthing Locality
Group. Moving to West Sussex in 1974, he has been involved with the local
political association and is a School Governor to two First & Middle Schools.
He is a retired Chartered Accountant who spent his working life in the Banking
and Insurance Industry, latterly as a senior executive. Colin has been
happily married for more than 40 years to Sheila, has two grown up children
and one grandchild. In his spare time he paints with water colours, cooks

since 1997, serving on various committees including Social Services
and Highways and Transport. He is Chairman of the Resources, Information
and Liaison Services Select Committee. Married with a grown-up daughter
and two grandchildren, he is a former Sales Director of a specialist machine
tool company, with a wide knowledge of the finance industry. Clem’s hobbies
include military history and golf. A ‘distinguished’ Euphoniumist, he is
willing to give short performances or even endless monologues on any given
subject at any time!

Steve Waight is an Independent Financial Adviser,
having previously worked as a Research Scientist for a major food company.
He has an Honours Degree in Applied Biology and a range of financial qualifications.
He has been a Member of Worthing Borough Council since 1992, having held posts
including Chairman of the Policy & Resources Committee and Executive Member
for Resources. Steve has been Chairman and is currently President of his
local Conservative Association. He is a keen swimmer and has played snooker
