What is the Blue Badge Network? Hello and welcome to the Blue Badge Network web site. I know it's been long awaited but hopefully we have got it right first time, rather than having a few unsuccessful attempts! Firstly let me give thanks to those people at Smallfishbigpond who assisted in making this web site possible, they really have done a grand job and I recommend them to anyone. For those of you who aren't members (why not?) let me tell you a bit about us: We started out in 1991 to assist disabled motorists all across the country. Now we have some 8000 members, with regional representatives all across the U.K and we endeavour not only to assist on motoring related topics, but anything relating to disabled people. We have a considerable library of information that hopefully we will be able to transfer onto this site, and a dedicated team of volunteers who work very hard on our member's behalf to see that everything that can be done is being done. We not only work on behalf of our members as a whole, lobbying parliament etc., but also offer an individual service to our members offering any help or advice they may need. Some of the people involved have allowed me to print their 'life-stories' in the 'introducing' series of articles. All this and more for just £8 per year! We also produce a quarterly Newsletter for members and the 'members only' section of this web site. Don't forget to view our Patron's page; he really does a fantastic amount of work on our behalf, and of course the Notes from our Chairman. On a lighter note we have some fantastic poems sent in by members, and some stories to make you smile.
