my first website i worked on was crap, then i built a few other crap ones until i built pokémail, but this was still crap and a blatent attempt to get cash, which failed appart from a mysterious £30 cheque from an american ad banners company. i built even more crap sites until i was surfing for an alternative to napster in april 2000. i found gnutella, found the idea behind it very interesting and within weeks had built gnutty.co.uk about gnutella. i did this site for a good while, on and off, until i got bored. i kept it up on the web and forgot about it, along with the gnutella scene itself. i built more crap sites - kleur, bbdb, and was looking for any work i could find. worked at gni.ms to no avail. worked at mpx-search, ditto. i got bored. very very bored. i tend to start projects and never finish them.

someone from the bbc found gnutty.co.uk and got in contact with me. they wanted to do a documentary on the future/technology and how it affects peoples lifes. they wanted me to be in it, so i agreed. they did the filming earlier this year (2001) and the program has been/will be on tv on the 12th august on bbc2. the show is called the future just happened and is presented by michael lewis (nice bloke), and there is an accompanying book of the same name. my bit from the book was extracted in the sunday telegraph on the 1st july along with some photos of me. i have also been mentioned in the radio times, the guardian, the observer and private eye. i also appeared on talksport's charlie wolf show - in which he conducted a 20 minute+ interview. in unrelated things, i have been mentioned on the chris moyles show and have phoned up the wright stuff (defending chris morris' brass eye) and the human zoo on talksport (playing the wurzels down the phone). if you know of anywhere else i have been, please email me.
