died Sept 14 1854 in St. Bartholomews Hospital (abscess on thigh.)
Address at time of Joseph's death was 7 Pleydell St., Bouverie St., Fleet St.

Mother: Caroline Burgar born. abt. 1811 died Oct 3 1849 aged 38, of cholera.
Address at time of Caroline's death was 28 Whitefriars Street, St. Brides Parish.

IGI also shows another possible son - Joseph Charles Burgar, baptised 30 Dec 1832 at St. Brides,
Fleet Street, son of Joseph and Caroline Burgar. Possibly he either died as an infant or was of an age to be away from home at the time of the 1851 census.

Caroline Burgar, Spinster aged 23 of 9 Great Prescott Street and Thomas Rickard, bachelor aged 24,
Butcher, of 8 Fenter Street South, were married on 3rd January 1872 at St. Marks, Whitechapel.

Caroline's father is recorded as Walter Burgar, Shoemaker (a mistake made here as Walter was her
brother not her father) and Thomas' father as Robert Rickard, Iron founder.
Witnessed by George Lewis and Samuel Long.
