This is one of our most important services, providing help and information.

The phrase "If only I'd known ..." represents so much wasted time and wasted opportunity.

We are looking to make this phrase redundant! There is so much out there that can help people with a learning disability make the most of their lives, so many opportunities - but it can be difficult to find the right thing at the right time.

Our Family Services project aims to put that right. In many cases, we are able to help with leisure opportunities, applications for benefits, applications for schools, housing issues, etc. etc.

This project provides

an information service for people with learning disabilities, parents, carers, professionals and others.
help and advice on day to day matters
help with benefit claims
parent support groups
workshops
respite service for older parents/carers
... and lots more.

The Family Services project helped start several spin-off projects including the Childminding Network, the Keep Fit group for adults and the Footsteps junior dance group.
