Quick Chicken Shuwarma
Ingredients:
(No specific quantity given here - use your own judgement
depending on how hungry you are or how many people you need to
feed.)
Frozen Chicken Nuggets (battered
or crumbed) or crumbed breast fillets
Cucumber, lettuce (or
cabbage), firm tomatoes and onions.
Pita bread fresh or frozen
Shwarma sauce
Method:
Cook chicken nuggets according to instructions (grill or bake if you are health concious).
Prepare a salad with onions, tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers. Do not use dressing.
During the last 3 minutes of cooking (if pita is frozen), place pita bread in the oven. If pita is fresh, then 1-2 minutes will suffice BUT DONT PUT THEM IN FOR TOO LONG!!!
Cut off the end of the pita and gently open it to form a pocket. Insert the chicken, a layer of sauce, followed by the salad, more sauce, and repeat until it is jam packed with goodies.
