The CD-ROM contains the entire Chattha Sangayana (Sixth Council) edition of the Tipitaka, including the Tipitaka, the Atthakathas (commentaries) and the Tikas and AnuTikas (sub-commentaries) and the Vissudhimagga and its commentaries. In printed form this collection would comprise approximately 140 books, and would cost thousands of dollars. The text has been transcribed from the Myanmar print edition produced after the Chattha Sangayana, and is the most authentic version of the Pali Tipitaka, as it was finalized in 1954-1956 by the historic Sixth Council.
