Historical Background of Dhammaramsi Meditation Center

       Dhammaramsi Meditation Center was founded on June 16, 1998 at 1711 Morton Avenue, Los Angeles, California, USA, by Venerable U Naradabhivamsa and Venerable Ashin Acara from Myanmar. The purpose of the Center is to teach Theravada Meditation traditions, to cultivate the people spiritually, regardless of color, nationality, sex and religions.The venerable monks also aim to teach Theravada Buddhism and Burmese cultures. The Center is dedicated to spiritual, educational, cultural and moral progress. The Center is rented with generous devotees‘donations. In addition to offering spiritual guidance to all lay persons, the venerable monks will support the fellow monks from Burma for post graduate studies in Buddhism in the U.S.A
