She was born into a family of politicians and film professionals and is the great-granddaughter of H.H. Asquith, British Prime Minister from 1908-1916. Her cousin is Crispin Bonham Carter.
In the 1980's her father was severely paralysed by brain surgery that went wrong. She began acting and writing whilst still in prep-school and passed up university in favour of acting.
Reportedly expecting a BABY with partner Tim Burton.
