Based in Lincolnshire, Celtic Occasions offers a Ceremonial Piper service throughout the East Midlands. Be it a Wedding or Funeral, Dinner or Party you can be assured of a dignified and professional performance from a piper with over twenty five years experience.
Your Piper
Born and raised on the west coast of Scotland, I played competetively with prize winning pipe bands including the Johnstone and District band which ultimately won the title of Champions of Champions in their grade. Following this I came south to England to join the Royal Air Force where I had the opportunity to play in a wide range of military and ceremonial events in and around London. This included the Lord Mayor's Parade, state visits and the annual Burma Star gathering at the Royal Albert Hall where I played as escort to the late Lord Louis Mountbatten. Other VIP's played for included the then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. During this time I became the Champion Piper of the Royal Air Force. Since leaving the RAF in 1988 I have continued to play for ceremonial events and have developed the Celtic Occasions service now available to you!
Few things in life are as painful as a bad piper!
